Sponsors Sought for More to Explore

More to Explore

Organizations in St. Mary’s County are working together to offer the new More to Explore program, which coordinates efforts to get residents outside. The program is directed by the Healthy Eating & Active Living (HEAL) Action Team of the Healthy St. Mary’s Partnership, which is sponsored by MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown.

More to Explore encourages everyone in the community to go outside and explore local parks, historic sites and area farmers markets by hosting an annual passport challenge. The More to Explore passport guides participants to the locations and offers prizes to the people who visit multiple sites.

This program works along with the St. Mary’s County Library summer reading program, allowing residents to participate online or with a hard copy of the passport booklet. For more, visit the Healthy St. Mary’s Partnership More to Explore website.

The ongoing success of the program depends on sponsorships from local businesses and individuals. Sponsorships make it possible to offer a printed booklet option at no cost to members of the community. Please see the linked sponsorship information for 2018, and add your support to the program.

Several levels of sponsorship are available and all donations are tax deductible. To help support the 2018 More to Explore program, please mail your completed sponsorship form and check to:
