Special Nights for Special People at AMG
Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center will offer special admission to its holiday light show, Garden in Lights, on special nights — Dec. 21, 28, and 29 — for those working in public service and those serving or who have served our country.
The award-winning light show will be open to the public from 6 to 9 pm nightly through Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017. The garden will be closed Dec. 24 and 25.
“With the help of generous community sponsors, we are able to say thank you and provide an evening of holiday joy for the many who teach, heal, and protect us,” Stacey Hann-Ruff, Annmarie Garden executive director said.
Military Night, Wednesday, Dec. 21, is proudly sponsored by Schneider Orthodontics and will offer free admission to active duty military and veterans (with a valid ID), plus two guests.
Military Night, Wednesday, Dec. 28, is proudly sponsored by College of Southern Maryland and will offer free admission to active duty military and veterans (with a valid ID), plus two guests.
Educator Night, Thursday, Dec. 29, is sponsored by IHI Kiewit-Cove Point and offers free admission to Calvert and St. Mary’s county teachers (with a valid ID), plus two guests.
Annmarie Garden in Lights will be open to everyone on those special nights. It’s a wonderful opportunity to share holiday spirit with, and say thank you, to members of the community who are dedicated to serving others.

An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center is located in scenic Solomons, Maryland, on the Chesapeake Bay. The sculpture garden features a walking path that meanders through the forest past permanent and loaned sculpture, including more than 35 works of art on loan from the Smithsonian Institution and the National Gallery of Art. Annmarie also presents a variety of award-winning special events, rotating gallery shows, and engaging public art programs.
