Solid Curtain Citadel Shield at Pax Feb 2-13

Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD – NAS Patuxent River starts the annual Solid Curtain/Citadel Shield force protection training Monday, Feb. 2, 2015. The two-week training runs through Friday, Feb. 13, 2015.

Solid Curtain/Citadel Shield is an annual Navywide exercise designed to enhance the training and readiness of Navy Security Forces.  Solid Curtain Citadel Shield is not in response to any specific threat, but is a regularly scheduled exercise.

Measures have been taken to minimize disruptions to normal base operations at NAS Pax River, but there may be times when the exercise will cause increased traffic around the installation or delays in base access. Area residents may also see increased security activity associated with the exercise.
