Have you ever wanted to sketch a moment, capture something quickly in a quick drawing? So you already know how to draw, and you love it? Here’s a chance to learn how to sketch.

A workshop at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center will teach participants the techniques to sketch quickly so they can capture the moment through sketching and journaling.

The Sketching & Journaling workshop will be held from 10 am to 3:30 pm March 29 and 30.

This is a great class for all levels. The beginner can learn how, the artist can learn how to use sketching for reference and pure enjoyment. The traveler can learn how to do beautiful travel journals. Registration is required.

The group will be sketching from photographs and painting small watercolor studies.

Cost is $140; members will pay $130. All materials will be provided; there will be a $10 materials fee.

To register for the workshop, call the garden office at 410-326-4640.

Registration is also being accepted for summer camps, where kids between 4 and 18 can attend either full or half-day.

The students will be taught by professional educators and working artists in ways that will awaken their minds and take them away from the grind of homework and sitting still all day. Campers will be free to explore their creativity, discover the beauties of the natural world around them, make new friends, and find ways to serve the community. To browse the camp options, visit Annmarie online.
