Putting STEM to Work at the Science and Engineering Fair

Last week, Great Mills High School hosted the annual St. Mary’s County Science and Engineering Fair, where middle and high school students put their science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills to practical use to solve problems and gain new knowledge.

Congratulations to this year’s Senior Grand Prize winners Mina Fahmi, for iControl, and Michael Lopez, for Hydrokinetic Energy System as well as Junior Grand Prize winners Juliana Geyer, for Meteor Angle and Sediment Size vs. Material Displacement and Jaret Williams, for Smart Mailbox.
