Sabre Systems, Inc. is pleased to report that the Senior Executive Director for the company’s Mid-Atlantic (MA) Region, Hampton Dowling, will be presenting “The Ups, Downs and Great Rewards of International Project Management” at the Project Management Institute, Washington DC Chapter’s (PMIWDC’s) 2012 Project Management Symposium, which is slated to take place Sept. 28, 2012 in Arlington, Va.

According to the organization’s website, “The 2012 Project Management (PM) Symposium, formerly called ‘Career Day,’ is PMIWDC’s premiere annual event. During this all-day conference, Project Managers and other industry professionals will exchange knowledge, make useful contacts and receive valuable insights.”

During his presentation, Hampton will be focusing on tangible macro issues that project managers need to understand in a U.S. economy that is becoming increasingly reliant upon the performance of foreign contracts.

According to Hampton, “One of the discriminating factors U.S. companies have relative to foreign competition is a record of great project management. Unfortunately, we sometimes fall short orienting successful management practices to apply in different cultures.” Hampton will share how to evaluate project plans and lead teams through a different set of domestic lenses – and be successful.
