Sabre Systems, Inc. Welcomes Andrew Macyko
Warrington, Pa. – Sabre Systems Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Andrew Macyko to the company.
Mr. Macyko joins Sabre after serving 30 distinguished years with the U.S. Navy as a naval officer and aviator. He is an accomplished leader in fleet operations, strategic planning and defense systems program management. He last held the position of Executive Director for Operations, AIR 4.0B, at Naval Air Systems Command where he was the principal military deputy to the Research and Engineering Group flag officer. He was responsible for providing direction and leadership that balanced operational risk with acceptable technical risk in the resolution of engineering issues for both manned and unmanned U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps aircraft.
Mr. Macyko is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, NAS Patuxent River, Md., and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and a Master of Science in Aviation Systems from the University of Tennessee.
Mr. Macyko joins Sabre as a senior executive director supporting our Naval Air Systems Command customers in the vital area of integrated warfighting capability specifically in irregular warfare and rapid response.
According to the group vice president for the company’s Mid-Atlantic region, Mr. Glen Ives, “Mr. Macyko has commanded an operational squadron; served as Commanding Officer of Naval Air Station Patuxent River; Military Director, Avionics Department, AIR 4.5, Naval Air Systems Command and most recently as Executive Director for Operations, AIR 4.0B, Naval Air Systems Command. Andy’s extraordinary leadership skills, unparalleled knowledge and experience in acquisition, fit perfectly with our plans to continue to provide the very best in our support to our customers. I’m confident he will help our Sabre team and our customers achieve outstanding success in our primary goal of supporting our warfighters.”
