Sabre Systems Appoints Mariano Alicea Jr. Sr VP
Warrington, Pa. – Sabre Systems, Inc., has named Mariano Alicea Jr. as the company’s Senior Vice President for Corporate Development, reporting to Chief Operating Officer James “Jamie” Krout.
Mr. Alicea will have executive management responsibility and authority over Sabre’s business development and marketing activities within federal civilian agencies, Department of Defense (DoD), international and commercial market sectors. Mr. Alicea will place a focus on new market entry, business diversification and strategic partnering and will play a key role in the company’s merger and acquisition (M&A) activities. He will operate primarily from the company’s Alexandria, Va. office location.

Mr. Alicea comes to Sabre from TASC, Inc. He has more than 12 years of business development experience at the executive level, and 25 plus-years total industry experience, including extensive engineering and program management experience while employed by the Federal Aviation Administration.
While at TASC, Mr. Alicea led all business development activities for the Defense Civil Group since 2011 (over $500 million in revenue and 1,500 employees). Key customer wins included the Federal Aviation Administration (over $1 billion), Department of Homeland Security (over $400 million), DoD (over $400 million) and Defense Information Systems Agency (over $300 million).
He has served as moderator and coordinator of several technical symposium panels on cyber and critical infrastructure protection. Mr. Alicea is a graduate of Princeton University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. In addition, he is a graduate of numerous executive education programs including from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
