Refurbishing Community Centers with a Day of Caring

Volunteers from several community organizations, including SMECO and the Lower St. Mary’s County Episcopal Outreach Group, participated in United Way of St. Mary’s Day of Caring Friday, Oct. 12. The Episcopals cleaned and painted the Pastoral Counseling Center at Church of the Ascension in Lexington Park, Maryland, and a crew from Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative replaced paneling and repaired the front ramp of the office at Leah’s House in Valley Lee.
