Prof Hammond: Should Night Be Longer?

Could we all do with a little more darkness in our lives? Pushcart Prize winner Jeffrey Hammond will tell us the benefits when one reflects on the natural, historical, and cultural significances of the night.

The George B. and Willma Reeves Distinguished Professor in the Liberal Arts at St. Mary’s College will give his annual – often humorous – Reeves lecture at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, in the Cole Cinema at the Campus Center. The free lecture is called “Good Night: In Praise of Darkness.”
