Kids’ imaginations can run free on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015, at Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center in Solomons, MD. The garden’s first ever Cardboard Day of Play is set for 1 to 4pm and includes an incredible array of ways to play.

Families can enjoy an entire afternoon of imaginative play for the Garden’s celebration of the Global Cardboard Challenge, an annual event that highlights childhood creativity. Regular admission fees will apply.

See the cardboard wonderland in the Main Gallery of the Arts Building as families build, create, and play their way through amusements, art activities, cardboard construction, creative play, and unlimited tinkering. There will be games like mini-golf and lawn Yahtzee and art stations will be the place to create your own cardboard masterpiece. Kids and their parents can visit Cardboard City, the Cardboard Farm, or let their imaginations soar on the Cardboard Autobahn. The cardboard construction zone will be the perfect place for kids and families w who love to build and tinker.

And don’t forget to grab a prop and strike a pose in one of our fabulous photo booths! A great way to remember your day!

Already have some cardboard art that you’d like to share? The event will also include a Cardboard Art Show open to all ages.

Cardboard artwork must be at least 75 percent cardboard and hang-able on the wall with thumbtacks. To enter the Art Show, drop your art off at Annmarie Garden, on or before Oct. 2.
