ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 02, 2013) – F/A-18C Hornets assigned to the Wildcats of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 131 perform a formation fly-by while the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) transits the Atlantic Ocean during Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7’s fly-off. Dwight D. Eisenhower is returning to her homeport of Norfolk, Va., after operating in the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts.
