Pax River Fixing and Arming the Fire Scout

Capt. Patrick Smith, head of the Multi-Mission Tactical UAS program for the U.S. Navy, briefed reporters at Webster Field in St. Inigoes Tuesday. Capt. Smith detailed the Navy’s plan to begin testing the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System on the MQ-8B version of the aircraft. He then addressed the causes of two crashes that occurred in the program earlier this year.
