PAX Opens New Child Development Center
With great fanfare and ribbon-cutting, the new Child Development Center at Naval Air Station: Patuxent River, building 2813, celebrated this week its opening last month.
The program offers full time child care for infants 6 weeks through 5 years old. All active-duty DoD employees, active/inactive reservists, delayed entry personnel, and retirees associated with NAS: Patuxent River, Webster Field, and Solomon’s Annex are eligible to use this program.
There are also a Child Development Home Program, a School Age Care Program, and programs available for before & after school care.
The new center can accommodate about 300 children, but even with the expanded space there is still a waiting list. To register for on-base child care, call 301-342-7636 or visit www.navymwr.org and click on Child & Youth Programs.
