Be a Part of Something Magical

Annmarie After Hours

Annmarie Garden Looking for Builders of Fairy Houses and More

Come share in the magic at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Art Center in Solomons. Annmarie is looking for beginners to professional builders to help create a magical experience in the seventh annual Fairies in the Garden exhibit of all things magical.

Annmarie wants fairy gardens, fairy houses, gnome homes, elf houses, and more. The only limit on the possibilities is the imagination of the creator. Anyone interested in being a part of the event can apply for a spot by visiting the Annmarie Garden website to download an entry form. Applications are due March 25.

The exhibit will open with a reception from 6 to 9 pm April 8 and run until Sept. 5.

All of the magical creatures will be on display in and around the trees and forest of the sculpture garden. The fairy garden creates a wondrous experience for visitors of any age by offering surprises in many places.

The opportunity to help with the display is open to all ages and abilities, from beginners who want to try it out to the professionals who have years of experience with magical creations. The builders will be admitted free to the opening of the fairy garden April 8, and will receive passes during the exhibit, as well as having their names listed on the website and the label for the house.

To learn more about this opportunity, call 410-326-4640 or email [email protected].

An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, Annmarie Garden is just off Route 2-4 on Dowell Road in Solomons, MD. The sculpture garden features a walking path that meanders through the forest past permanent and loaned sculpture, including more than 35 works of art on loan from the Smithsonian and the National Gallery of Art.
