Parents can learn facts about the dangers of drug misuse and how it is affecting young people in St. Mary’s County at a seminar from 5 to 7 pm April 7, 2016, at St. Mary’s County Public Schools Central Administration Office at 23160 Moakley St. in Leonardtown, MD. The seminar will be presented by St. Mary’s County Public Schools, Walden Behavioral Health, and St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Speakers will talk about the trends happening now in drug misuse, as well as the mental health and behavioral factors that impact drug addiction and community resources that are available to help with this problem, which has impacted families all over the county.

The seminar is a collaborative effort among the St. Mary’s County Public School system, the Collective Education Association of St. Mary’s County, the Education Association of St. Mary’s County, and the St. Mary’s County Association of Supervisors and Administrators.
