Paint Your Way Through Winter at AMG

Escape the winter blues with a watercolor workshop being offered at Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center. The instructor will be Nancy Thompson. The Winter in Watercolors: Mountain Streams and Boulders paint workshop will be offered from 10 am to 3:30 pm Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 28 and March 1. Tuition fee is $165 for members and $175 for non-members.

Learn to paint mountain scenes and learn tips and tricks to create the illusion of moving water and rocky surfaces. The participants will work from photos, so feel free to bring your own pictures for inspiration. Great for any level of experience, even beginners too. Registration is required. Call 410-326-4640 or visit the website linked to above.

Another class, Metal Fusing Bracelets, will be held from 1 to 4 pm March 5. Cost is $40 for members and $45 for non-members. A materials fee of $45 is due to the instructor at class for complete kit. The instructor will be Tricia Hall. Participants will use a torch and various texturing techniques to learn how to turn a plain piece of .999 percent pure silver wire into jewelry. Learn to form links, alter their shape and texture, and join them to create a complete bracelet.
