Engineering Study on the P-8A Increment 3 Reference Architecture: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) seeks proposals for an engineering study on the P-8A Increment 3 Reference Architecture. Under this Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) , the engineering study shall analyze the Government defined P-8A Increment 3 Reference Architecture concept and its ability to meet P-8A Increment 3 Architecture and net-centric objectives; obtain Industry’s innovative and insightful recommendations for an architecture approach, including changes to the Government-defined P-8A Increment 3 Reference Architecture and the identification of projected cost, schedule, and technical performance and risks associated with its development and implementation into the P-8A.
Antennas: Solicitation N00421-12-T-0091 is issued as a synopsis/solicitation. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a brand name sole source basis under the authorityof FAR 6.302-1. Manufacturer must be TRIVEC-AVANT Omni UHF SATCOM antennas, under the authority of FAR Part 12, FAR Part 13, and is a Total Small Business Set-Aside authority of FAR Part 52.219-6.
Contracts Awarded:
The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $6,734,172 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, fixed-price-incentive-fee contract (N00019-09-C-0019) for the Delta phase of the Advanced Mission Computer (AMC) Type 4 system, which is a redesign of the AMC Type 3 mission computer system for the F/A-18 E/F and EA-18 G fighter aircraft. The Delta phase finalizes the development and prepares the AMC Type 4 for production with the F-18 aircraft. Work will be performed in Bloomington, Minn. (71 percent); St. Louis, Mo. (24 percent); and Linthicum, Md. (5 percent), and is expected to be completed in December 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
