New Events for Adults at Annmarie

Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center in Solomons has added two new events, just for adults.

From 5 to 9 pm Dec. 19, Annmarie is offering Holiday “Spirits” Night. Those older than 21 can celebrate the magic of the holidays with Annmarie Garden in Lights and a wine tasting, brought by Port of Leonardtown Winery. The center will offer wonderful holiday music from the mezzanine in the Kay Daugherty Gallery. Enjoy the music and then tour the spectacular holiday light show.

Cracker, cheese, and fruit trays will be offered throughout the evening. If you love the wine you’ve tasted, a cash bar will be located on the main level of the gallery. The event’s featured wines include: Tributary, Chardonnay, McIntosh Run, Breton Bay Breeze, and Captain’s Table. Another event features tea instead of wine. Tea in the Garden is set for noon to 1:30 pm Wednesday, Dec. 14. This event is a great idea for groups or small holiday parties, allowing you to experience an afternoon of tea in the beautiful Annmarie Garden setting. During the event, participants will learn about the history of teas and the role they play in society.

Tickets for Tea in the Garden can be purchased for $20 per person and include an assortment of specialty teas along with delicious homemade scones, tea cookies, and pastries. Guests also will be served a tasting plate of quiche of the day and soup or salad. Reservations are required for the event.
