NAWCAD Overview Rescheduled March 29

NAWC

The Patuxent Partnership has rescheduled the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) overview for March 29 at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center in California, Md.

The briefing, to be delivered by Ms. Leslie Taylor, SES, executive director of NAWCAD and deputy assistant commander for test and evaluation at NAVAIR, will present an overview of NAWCAD initiatives, priorities, capabilities, and their alignment with NAVAIR mission and goals.

NAWCAD hosts unique research and development aircraft systems, laboratories, and test facilities. The division serves the needs of the US Navy, as well as other military services, federal agencies, foreign customers, and commercial entities.

NAWCAD is one of two product centers within Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) that partner with industry to deliver high-quality, affordable products in support of military operating forces worldwide. NAWCAD products and services include aircraft, avionics, air-launched weapons, electronic warfare systems, cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, launch and arresting gear, training equipment and facilities, and all air power equipment related to the Navy and US Marine Corps.

The complex at Patuxent River includes research and engineering disciplines of systems engineering, air vehicles, propulsion, avionics, crew systems, and test and evaluation.

“This is a great opportunity for our members and the community to hear from NAWCAD leadership firsthand,” Bonnie Green, executive director of The Patuxent Partnership, said.

There is no cost for this NAWCAD overview program. Advance registration is requested.
