with Baseball-themed Gift Bags and a Photo ConteMedStar - Nationals baby promotionst

COLUMBIA, Md.—The Washington Nationals are looking to grow their fan base this Mother’s Day, May 11, 2014.

MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital is among the participating MedStar Health Hospitals partnering with the Nationals for the club’s kick-off  effort to grow the National Family from day one.

The Washington Nationals will provide each family of babies born on Mother’s Day in MedStar Health Hospitals serving the Washington, D.C., region a baseball-themed gift bag—containing a Nationals-branded onesie and bucket hat for the newborn baby, as well as baseballs caps for new moms and dads.

MedStar is the official medical partner of the Washington Nationals, and Mother’s Day will serve as “Opening Day” for this special promotion. Additionally, the Nationals and MedStar Health will celebrate babies born on Father’s Day (June 15), the Fourth of July, the All Star Game day (July 15), Labor Day (Sept. 1), and later in September during the post-season.

New Parents are encouraged to take a photo of their baby and post it to Instagram using #NatsMyBaby. Five lucky winners will be randomly chosen on Sept. 2 to win four tickets to the Nationals game on Saturday, Sept. 26. The selected winners will have their #NatsMyBaby photo showcased on the video board during that game.

In addition to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, other hospitals participating in the program are: MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, and MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
