Readers of Maryland Life magazine named MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital as the 2012 Free State’s Finest BEST Healthcare Facility in the southern region of Maryland. More than 300,000 readers of the magazine were asked to vote on their favorites in a variety of categories including BEST restaurants, museums, parks, crab cakes and more in the region of Maryland in which they live.
We are privileged to share this honor with all of the Free State’s Finest in Southern Maryland. Many of the wonderful businesses that were named the BEST are long-time friends of the hospital. Breton Bay, named BEST Golf Course hosts the Annual Auxilian Golf Tournament, and will again this year on September 11, 2012. And the BEST restaurant recipient, Cafe des Artistes, hosts the Foundation’s Annual Culinary Infusion that raises funds for the Foundation Healthcare Scholarship Program. We also extend special congratulations to our hometown of Leonardtown for being named the BEST historic district.
