Join R&P for Easter Egg Festival

Easter

The St. Mary’s County Department of Recreation & Parks is hosting the annual Easter Egg Festival at the St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds on Saturday, March 28. The rain-or-shine event will be held from 11:30am to 4pm.

This Southern Maryland spring staple features egg hunts for kids, live entertainment, free arts and crafts activities, face painting, delicious local food options, shopping from area vendors and appearances by the Easter Bunny and Mrs. Cottontail.

Children up to age 12 can participate in the festival’s famous age-appropriate egg hunts. Each hunt features approximately 1,000 eggs, with special eggs containing prizes. Egg hunt tickets are $7 per child and are available for advance online purchase at www.stmaryscountymd.gov/Easter. Egg hunt tickets also can be purchased at the gate on the day of the event, beginning at 11am.

Recreation & Parks thanks Easter Egg Festival sponsors for their support and donations.

The 2026 sponsors include Dash In/Splash In, Tractor Supply Company, Indian Bridge Kennels, MedStar, and the Leonardtown commissioners.
