Both JefClarkArt and Colleen’s Dream have announced special sales beginning tomorrow at Leonardtown’s First Friday event.

JefClarkArt is installing a large collection of photographs this week in the Cafe des Artistes restaurant on the public square in Leonardtown.  The exhibit will feature a number of brightly colored flowers and other plants from St. Mary’s County, the Southern California coast, Key West and the Republic of South Africa. Local barns, lighthouses and 19th century schoolhouses will also be on display.

“We wanted to have lots of bright flowers to commemorate spring and Mother’s Day,” said Jeffrey Clark, a photographer who lives on St. George Island. “There will be plenty of photos that will be rather perfect gifts for Mother’s Day or just a treat to brighten up your own home or office. Our website- JefClarkArt.wordpress.com – has a much larger portfolio of photos available for viewing right now.”

Meanwhile, Colleen’s Dream, a vintage consignment shop on Fenwick Street in Leonardtown, has announced a 20 percent 0ff jewelry sale that will also begin at the event tomorrow. The store has added several interesting pieces from a recent New York trip to its extensive jewelry collection – some glitter for prom, weddings or a night out, and some trendy fun items for any occasion. All jewelry in the clothing area of the store will be 20 percent off, including hair jewelry. The store has also acquired several beautiful signed vintage pieces which are also included in the sale.
