January Events at CSM

lecture series

After only a few days into the New Year, the College of Southern Maryland gears up for another busy semester. Here is a list of January events.

From noon to 4 pm Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, the college will hold a FAFSA completion workshop. The workshop will be held at the Calvert Library at 850 Costley Way in Prince Frederick. One-on-one assistance will be provided to students and parents as they complete the 2017-18 Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Bring 2015 tax information and records of untaxed income, Social Security benefits and child support received or paid. FAFSA is the primary application for federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs. Outside of the workshops, CSM has Financial Assistance Department counselors who can help students find ways to make a CSM education affordable. Counselors have all the latest information on financial assistance, grants, payment options, and scholarships.

Reservations for the workshop may be made here. Snow date will be Jan. 22.

The college’s winter graduation commencement will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at the CSM La Plata Campus, Physical Education (PE) Building, 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata. For information, click here.
