SMIT Has Innovative Problem Solving on Tap

Tech Meet-Up Set Feb. 11

Join Southern Maryland Innovation & Technology (SMIT) in February for an interactive workshop to get those innovation and creativity juices going.

Chuck Appleby of Appleby and Associates will give a brief talk on the benefits and practices of design thinking. He will then lead the group in an interactive workshop that organizers say will be fun and engaging.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, community member, scientist, or someone in industry, everyone needs tools to help move their organizations to innovate new products and practices.

SMITSMIT brings together entrepreneurs, inventors, developers, researchers, mentors, investors, and the broader entrepreneurial community. The group meets on the second Thursday of most months.

The next meet-up will be held 6 to 8 pm Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center at 44219 Airport Road in California, Md.
