The Maryland State Highway Administration closed the state section of Indian Bridge Road in Great Mills Monday after a powerful storm swept through the area early in the morning. The road has now been reopened. According to SHA, the closure was due to a tree that fell across the road, taking the power lines with it.  SHA crews waited for SMECO to de-energize the lines before they could begin clearing the tree from the road.
