Help Make Art at Annmarie

Annmarie Garden Summer Art Project
Posted for Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center

First, you’ll learn the difference between a hieroglyph, a petroglyph, a pictograph, and logogram.

Then, you’ll use those new skills to create an original work of art, a Picto-Pebble, which will be on display at Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center in Solomons, MD.

The 2015 Summer Public Art Project, Picto-Pebbles, will run through Aug. 30, 2015. Visitors of all ages are invited to join in the Summer Public Art Project from 10 am-4 pm daily. Participation is included with price of site admission.

As you walk the trail, be sure to keep an eye out for our summer Artist-In-Residence Kevin Sudeith. He is carving petroglyphs onto three large boulders located along the trail. When you find him, take a look at the images he has carved.

Be sure to ask him why he chose the images that are on the rocks.
