Health Care Scholarships

Did you know the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation offers scholarships to eligible Southern Maryland residents interested in pursuing a career in health care? Each of the scholarships awarded covers payment for tuition, books and fees associated with the degree, license or certification for a period of up to four years.

Since 2001, the Foundation has awarded nearly 100 scholarships to individuals interested not only in nursing, but also in the growing field of allied health. These allied health professionals are involved in many aspects of health care, including physical, occupation and speech therapy, radiology, respiratory therapy, laboratory technology and many more. New this year, scholarships are also available for students pursuing degrees in health care finance and health care information technology.
