FCW notes that it’s two weeks until sequestration cuts hit. Government Executive says it’s going to happen. The Navy’s vice chief of naval operations tells the Senate that the full force of sequestration over 10 years would shrink the fleet by two aircraft carrier strike groups and reduce the purchase of E-2 Hawkeyes, P-8 Poseidons and F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, Aviation Week reports. Rep. Duncan Hunter (R) accuses the military of “adding drama” to the sequestration issue, Navy Times reports.

Senate Democrats plan to introduce another continuing resolution bill this week, Reuters reports. The Marines says that another continuing resolution from Congress would ground F-18 Hornets and slash pilot training, AOL Defense reports.
