Guitarist & Solo Artist Sara Gray in Leonardtown

The College of Southern Maryland’s Twilight Performance Series features home-grown artists to military musicians to rising stars performing a variety of Motown, boogie-woogie, country, jazz, classic rock, contemporary blues and reggae at campuses in La Plata, Leonardtown and Prince Frederick.

The concerts are part of CSM’s Twilight Performance Series. Each week the series features a different performance on each campus. Bring a picnic and a lawn chair or blanket (no alcoholic beverages permitted.) For a complete schedule of bands performing, visit here or phone (301) 934-7828.

The free, family-friendly outdoor concerts continue  July 15 at the College of Southern Maryland, Leonardtown Campus, Great Lawn, 22950 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Full performances are held at each campus.

CSM Twilight Performance Series: Sara Gray at 6:45 pm, July 15. As a solo artist, Sara Gray began playing guitar and writing her own songs at the age of 16. Along with performing extensively in the Maryland and DC area, Ms. Gray has opened for country acts Miranda Lambert, Toby Keith and American Idol contestant Kellie Pickler.

A Southern Maryland native, Sara Gray has been singing all her life—in church, local theater productions and at various community events. Ms. Gray has performed the National Anthem at many Washington-based sports games, including the Nationals baseball team, the Kastles tennis team and the Capitals hockey team.

Ms. Gray has been the featured artist with the Chesapeake Orchestra for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting at National Harbor. She also gives back to the community by performing for the Special Olympics, local benefits and many other charitable events.

CSM Twilight Performance Series: No Green JellyBeenz. 6:45 pm, July 22. No Green JellyBeenz is a cover band from St. Mary’s County specializing in covering rock songs. Their catalogue spans over five decades – they cover everything from The Beatles to Fall Out Boy.
