Come out for The Greenwell Foundation’s Sundays in the Park, Oct. 13, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Rosedale Manor, for a book signing, manor tours, and family fun.

Sundays in the Park takes place at Greenwell’s Rosedale Manor on the second Sunday of every month, a family-friendly event where the community is welcome to come and browse the rooms of historic Rosedale Manor.

This month, the Foundation will host Jeanne Pirtle, education director of Sotterley Plantation and author of the newly-published “Images of America: Sotterley Plantation.” The book features more than 200 vintage images and memories of days gone by. Pirtle will sign copies of her book. Books will be available for purchase.

This event is free and open to the public.

Rosedale was the home of John Philip Greenwell, Jr., who donated his land to the state of Maryland, and began the Greenwell Foundation, an independent, non-profit organization offering inclusive and accessible programs, services, and facilities within Greenwell State Park.

Self-guided tours of the manor house are available. Sundays in the Park is also an opportunity for brides-to-be to spend some time inside the manor house and envision what their special day will look like!
