If you have something to sell, this is the place to meet your buyers! Free space!

Free vendor spots are still available at the semi-annual big equipment auction at Flat Iron Farm in Great Mills, MD, that draws hundreds of visitors and bidders from the entire Mid Atlantic Region.

To reserve a free vendor spot inside the main barn at the Oct. 2 & 3 auction phone Thomas Mulqueen at 240-538-5490.

This huge fall auction is a once-a-year opportunity to reach hundreds of visitors in the mood for buying just as the pre-holiday shopping season is launching. There is nothing else like it in Southern Maryland.

All around the barns the largest contractor and equipment auction in the Mid-Atlantic is covering a 200-acre spread of equipment and rolling stock. The auction and full event is open to the public, with plenty of parking.

Vendor spots have the additional advantage of sharing the barn with one of the major draws at the semi-annual auctions, the Amish Kitchen is also set up inside.

It is unusual for the Amish Kitchen to open for two days to the public. The women who  run the kitchen set up just as they cook at home with the inclusion of a wood burning pizza oven. In addition to pizza, bar-b-que chicken, and homemade ice cream, there is a daily Blue Plate Special coming from Amish cooks just as the fresh, homegrown fare arrives from their home kitchens. The transporting of an Amish home kitchen to serve public is a fundraiser these cooks perform for their church.

Mr. Mulqueen, who is in charge of lining up vendors for the barns during the two day event, is a huge fan. “It’s worth it to just come for lunch,” he says. The array of vendors make an encircling bazaar inside the barns, offering a wide array of products, arts, crafts, and goods. Bailey’s Catering will also be serving meals in the barns, where tables and chairs have been set up to allow you to eat in comfort.

The extravaganza outside is so large that this year Gators and golf carts will be available, but need to be reserved ahead. To reserve call Stan Gagne at 423-494-5606.

To join the bazaar, and participate as a vendor in one of the barns during the two-day auction, contact Mr. Mulqueen at 240-538-5490.
