The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter returns to flight after an investigation of a cracked engine blade, CNN reports. Lockheed Martin locks up the contract to purchase parts for the next batch of F-35s hours before sequestration hits, Bloomberg reports.

NAVAIR contracts:Boeing gets $11.3 million more for the full rate production of 1,001 precision laser guidance sets for the U.S. Air Force; and Engility Corp. gets $9.6 million more for technical and engineering services in support of AIR 4.3 to include data analysis, information systems, and software functions of the Structural Appraisal of Fatigue Effects (SAFE) Program.
