Eco Explorers Learn About Wonderful Weeds

Kids Explore Nature at Annmarie Eco-Exploration

It’s time to bring your little explorer to Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center to learn all about Wonderful Weeds. From 10 to 11 am March 28, 2016, Annmarie’s naturalist Hester Burch will lead children and their caregivers on an exploration of the natural world that surrounds Annmarie.

Every month Ms. Burch takes the children on a different adventure – whether it’s to explore autumn leaves, spiders, the creatures of the woods, and so much more. Every session offers something new and fun. Kids who are already explorers can bring in their own natural treasures for show and tell with Ms. Burch.

The adventures and coinciding projects have been designed for elementary school-aged children, but if a sibling and family want to come along, they are welcome to participate, too. It is not necessary to register. Children are admitted to the explorations free with museum admission, and it’s free for families who are members of Annmarie Garden.

The best part is that most programs also include a change to make a nature craft to take home, made in the eco-friendly ArtLab.

Follow Annmarie on Facebook to learn the topic for each week’s Eco-Exploration.

Registration is not necessary, but if you are bringing a large group of children, contact Ms. Burch ahead of time at [email protected]. This allows her to make sure every children has a great time.

The April Eco-Exploration is set for April 26 and will celebrate Earth Day.
