Drop In for Fun at AMG on Spring Break

spring break

You do not have to travel far to have a great time on spring break. Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center in Solomons has scheduled great drop-in events every day of spring break this year with Spring Break Lolly-Palooza, giving kids an opportunity to be creative and have fun on their days off.

These extra-special activities help celebrate the season re-opening of Annmarie Garden’s Fairy Lolly playground. Registration for these drop-in activities is not required; regular admission fees apply.

The first event for Spring Break Lolly-Palooza is Bubble Painting Fun from 11 am to 4 pm Monday, March 21, 2016. Kids can check in at the Murray Arts Building and then stop by the Fairy Lolly for magical play. More activities will be set up in the artLAB and Nature Nook.

On Tuesday, March 22, enjoy Nature Weaving Fun.

On Wednesday, March 23, kids can make Pine Cone Critters. This activity brings the wonders of nature to the craft table, and kids can make a special piece of art to take home.

On Thursday, March 24, make a Suncatcher Craft to put in a window.

On Friday, March 25, look out for the Loose Parts Construction Zone, bringing together a number of craft projects for something completely different.

Saturday, March 26, will be extra special. Music Making Fun will bring both visual arts and crafts and the art of music together for one event.

Then, on Monday, March 28, enjoy Pet Rock fun. This event will bring back the old trend of creating pet rocks.

Don’t let your kids’ spring break be wasted on video games and boring indoor activities. Annmarie Garden is dedicated to helping kids learn with all of their senses, as children are just designed to do.
