Don’t Miss AMG Maker’s Market Nov. 5

Get a jump on your holiday shopping. Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center‘s Maker’s Market will be held from 9 am to 1 pm Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016.

The Maker’s Market is the place to find all things handmade, homemade, or homegrown products. There will be crafts, hanging baskets, organic skincare products, farm fresh produce, cut flowers, baked goods, batik and fleece clothing, handmade soaps and candles, herbal teas, ornaments, folk art, handmade gifts, and more. Delight in the local treasures to be found at the market.

Another market will be held Dec. 3.

Ample, accessible, and convenient parking is located in the parking lot and adjacent field. Handicap parking is available through the main gate.

They can be fun. They can be funky. They can be scary. Whatever you think is the perfect scarecrow, make one now and enter it into the “Scarecrows: Guardians of the Garden” exhibit at Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center.

The exhibit, up until Nov. 27, 2016, will celebrate all things related to scarecrows — the guardians of our gardens — and artists ranging from novice to experienced creative genius are participating.

About Annmarie Garden

An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, Annmarie Garden is off Route 2-4 on Dowell Road in Solomons, MD. The sculpture garden features a walking path that meanders through the forest past permanent and loaned sculpture, including more than 35 works of art on loan from the Smithsonian and the National Gallery of Art. Annmarie Garden also presents a variety of special events, gallery shows, and public art programs.

Annmarie Garden is open 9 am to 5 pm daily; the gift shop is open 10 am to 5 pm daily.
