County Seeks Volunteers for Boards and Commissions
The Board of County Commissioners for St. Mary’s County is seeking citizens who are interested in volunteering their time in public service to the community by serving on various Boards, Committees, and Commissions.
Interested citizens can download an application from the county’s website or call 301-475-4200 x1320. Descriptions of the boards and the membership application form can be found on the County’s website at www.stmarysmd.com. Click on “Boards and Commissions.”
Citizens may apply for any board, but the ones listed below have known vacancies. All applications must include a resume and must be submitted by Nov. 26 to be considered for appointment.
The following Boards, Committees and Commissions have vacancies:
- Agriculture, Seafood and Forestry Board
- Airport Advisory Committee
- Board of Trustees, Museum Division
- Commission for Women
- Commission on Aging
- Commission on the Environment
- Commission on People with Disabilities
- Community Health Advisory Committee
- Elms Advisory Committee
- Ethics Commission
- Library Board of Trustees
- Metropolitan Commission
- Planning Commission
- Recreation and Parks Advisory Board
- Wicomico Shores Golf Course Advisory Board
- Zoning Board of Appeals
