Corn Maze Celebrates 70 Years of PAX

The drying corn fields and peeks of leaf color herald the annual opening of the Bowles Farms corn maze. Every year, the family designs the maze to reflect Maryland history, events, or icons and this year the maze highlights the 70th anniversary of the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

The maze will be open Sept. 28-Oct. 27, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. (Monday-Friday by appt. only; call 301-475-2139). There is admission.

Along with exploring the maze, there are a kids play area, a petting zoo, a kids barrel ride, and slides. The farm is located at 22880 Budd’s Creek Road (Route 234), Clements, MD., (at the intersection of Route 234 and Pincushion Road.)
