Caregivers Support Group Meets

St. Mary’s County Department of Aging & Human Services welcomes caregivers in the community to a new Caregivers Support Group.

The St. Mary’s County Caregivers Support Group is designed to be a safe space for caregivers to share their experiences and learn about resources. The group is open to caregivers of all types, including those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s or dementia, diagnosed with Parkinsons, recovering from a stroke, or experiencing other physical, cognitive, or mental challenges.

The group meets at 6pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Garvey Senior Activity Center at 23630 Hayden Farm Lane in Leonardtown. The group wants each person to feel welcome to attend and be encouraged through their caregiving journey.
