CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Gives Walden $10K
Walden has received a grant for $10,000 from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst) to provide general operating support for the organization’s Crisis and Trauma/Mental Health Program. The CareFirst grant will help support Walden’s 24-hour crisis hotline and victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. To date, CareFirst has contributed $30,000 to Walden’s program initiatives.
“We are grateful for CareFirst’s continued support of our vital programs, like the crisis hotline,” said Kathy O’Brien, CEO of Walden. “Without committed partners like CareFirst, our services fail to reach residents of southern Maryland.”
