Blue Angels Headline Pax River Air Show
The US Navy says the 2026 NAS Patuxent River Air Show on June 20 and 21 is going to be packed with thrilling performances. Check out some of the attractions.
Blue Angels
The US Blue Angels flight demonstration exhibits choreographed refinements of skills possessed by all naval aviators. It includes the graceful aerobatic maneuvers of the four-plane Diamond Formation, in concert with the fast-paced, high-performance maneuvers of its two solo pilots.
F-16 Viper Demo Team
Primary weapons system of the 20th Fighter Wing, the Lockheed-Martin F-16C Fighting Falcon Block 50 model is a compact, multi-role fighter aircraft. It is highly maneuverable and has proven itself in more than 30 years of operations including air-to-air combat and air-to-surface attack.
Greg Colyer Ace Maker
The Solo T-33 Aerobatic Demonstration showcases the maximum performance and graceful beauty of the Shooting Star, America’s first operational jet fighter and trainer.
RJ Gritter
RJ developed a passion for aerobatics through radio-control (R/C) flying. He started competing in R/C aerobatics at age 16 in national and international events, representing the US in indoor precision and freestyle aerobatic championships.
USNA “Sky Goats” Parachute Team
The USNA Parachute Team is an all-volunteer team of midshipmen skydivers. Their jumps represent the Naval Academy’s commitment to excellence, leadership, and public outreach.
French Acrobatic Patrol
The Patrouille acrobatique de France (French Acrobatic Patrol) is the precision aerobatics demonstration unit of the French Air and Space Force, officially commissioned in 1953. They are the oldest military acrobatic flight team of all time.

Friday, June 19, 2026 – Base Access Day/Practice Performance
The Friday practice show will be open to all with regular base access to Pax River and authorized attendees only.
- 9am Gates open to authorized attendees; command static displays open
- 11am Practice show begins
- 3:30pm Blue Angels walk/performance
- 4:30pm Practice show ends
Saturday, June 20, 2026 – General Public Air Show
- 9 am Gates open to the public, static displays open
- 11am Pax River Air Show begins
- 3pm Blue Angels walk/performance
- 4:30pm Blue Angels land
- 4:45pm Pax River Air Show ends
Sunday, June 21, 2026 – General Public Air Show
- 9am Gates open to the public; static displays open
- 11am Pax River Air Show begins
