Apply Now for Fall ’16 at SMHEC
Join hundreds of Southern Marylanders attaining advanced degrees, close to home, from a selection of 10 universities at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center in California, MD. You can apply now for fall 2016 with the help of advisers from all of the 10 universities at the SMHEC open house, 4 to 7 pm, June 29.
This past year, 186 students received bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees or graduate certificates offered at
The graduates included 109 who received master’s degrees, two received doctorates, and 56 bachelor’s degrees were awarded. Plus 19 people more received certificates in education.
Individuals can apply now for fall 2016 with the help of advisers from all of the 10 universities at the SMHEC open house from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday, June 29. This is drop-in format with advisers available to answer questions and help one get started or continue an education. Check out the website linked to above or call 301-737-2500. Classes at SMHEC are offered during evening hours and Saturdays. Take classes right here in Southern Maryland and get a degree from a world-class university at SMHEC.

All of the classes for the academic programs are presented at the center. There are new master’s including logistics management and technology management, and an MBA, and a new doctorate from the Florida Institute of Technology. New cybersecurity bachelor’s and master’s degrees are being offered, plus 16 bachelor completion courses in fall 2016 from University of Maryland University College.
The Florida Institute of Technology is presenting a master of business administration and two more new masters of science degrees, an MS in engineering management and an MS in technology management. The FIT doctorate of business administration program is now available at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center amd will start in the fall.
