SOLOMONS, MARYLAND – Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center (Annmarie Garden) will present an Annmarie After Hours event to celebrate the opening of TEXT/MESSAGE: a teen art exhibit, on Friday, March 15, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. TEXT/MESSAGE: a teen art exhibit will showcase the talent, creativity, and perspective of today’s teen culture and will be on display in the Mezzanine Gallery at Annmarie Garden. This exhibit will include works that communicate what it means to be a teen in the world today through visual artwork, creative writing, or performing arts. Each submission will include a text or a message in the body of the artwork. Make a date with Annmarie Garden to enjoy a casual evening of great art, refreshments, light hors d’oeuvres, and live music. Please note that the Color & Light Society will be presenting their Spring Show featuring the work of their many members, including paintings, sculpture, and watercolors, on Friday, March 15, 2013, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. in the Main Gallery. Contributing artists include: Pamela Allen, Carole Thieme, Hana Horstkamp, Ann Preston, Rex Miller, Elizabeth Bygler, Mary Ida Rolape, Carol Wathen, Iris Hall Willey, Kay Duvall, and Karen Szachnitowski.
