Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center (Annmarie Garden) will present Maker’s Market on Saturday, April 6, 2013; 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Annmarie Garden’s Maker’s Market is dedicated to independent artists and their handmade and homegrown goods. Saturday’s Maker’s Market will feature:  furniture, photography, crocheted hats and scarves, ceramics, stationery, scarves, leather and wood articles. Ample, accessible and convenient parking is located in the parking lot and adjacent parking field. Handicap parking is available through the main gate. Admission is free to Maker’s Market. Annmarie After Hours:  The Living Gallery Exhibition & Sale, Friday, April 5, 6-9 pm

Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center (Annmarie Garden) will present Annmarie After Hours to celebrate the opening of The Living Gallery Exhibition & Sale on Friday, April 5, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The Living Gallery Exhibition & Sale, in the Main Gallery, is your opportunity to see the Living Gallery artists’ completed works and delight in a creative environment with music (provided by Jim & Kathy), light hor d’oeuvres, wine, and beer.  Fiber, jewelry, sculpture, painting, and more – this exhibit and sale will brighten a cold winter evening. Don’t forget to visit the Gift Shop for some retail therapy! No reservations are required; $4 for members; $5 for non-members (adults only evening). When schools are closed, come to Annmarie Garden and meet new friends, make great artwork, learn new things, and escape out-of-school boredom! Our School is OUT; Art is IN dates correspond with both Calvert and St. Mary’s County public school calendars. Perfect for April Fool’s Day, explore the tricky world of perplexing puzzles. From the jigsaw variety to brilliant brain games, stump one another with riddles and games. Annmarie Garden presents Romp & Stomp:  Active Games, April 5, 2013; 9:00 am – 3:30 pm, Grades K-2 or Grades 3-5; register today at 410-326-4640. Balls, bats, rackets—we know how to use them in common sports, but let’s explore games from around the world that use their own unique equipment. We’ll work together to invent a few new sports and put on our own Olympic games. Pack a lunch and dress for a mess! Cost is $40 for non-members; $35 for members.

artLAB Clubs

annmarie garden checkerboardAnnmarie Garden presents Wednesday Wine Night in the artLAB on Wednesday, March 20, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Bring your favorite beverage or snack and get ready to turn trash to treasure as we create home décor, organization tools, fashion items, and more. If “wacky” and “colorful” describe your style, then this club is the one for you! Projects take roughly 30 minutes to complete, cost is $7.00 per adult – please drop in anytime between 5-7pm. Wednesday Wine Night is held the 3rd Wednesday of each month. 

Annmarie Garden presents artLAB Mom’s Club in the artLAB on Monday, March 18, 9:00 am – 11:00 am.

Discover your little one’s creative potential in the artLAB! These lightly guided sessions will help your child make great art, fun toys, creative costumes, and new friends. Perfect for preschoolers aged 3-5. These meetings are project-oriented. $7 for parent/child pair; $2 for each additional child. No reservations are required…simply stop in….held the 1st and 3rd of each month.

Annmarie Garden presents Homeschool Tuesdays in the artLAB on Tuesday, March 19, 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Add a little artLAB to your homeschool curriculum and invent, build, and discover through lightly guided “challenges.” Our grab-bag style sessions provide your homeschooler an opportunity to creatively approach math, science, history, and more! Ideal for ages 7-12, but all ages can participate. $7 for parent/child pair; $2 for each additional child. No reservations are required…simply stop in….held the 1st and 3rd of each month.
