AMG Offers Metalsmithing Workshop

Learn the art of metalsmithing during a Twinkle Twist Bracelets: A Metalsmithing Workshop at Annmarie Sculpture Garden and Art Center from 1 to 3 pm Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017.

Jerry Garnsey will teach students to twist sterling silver wire together to form a rope pattern. When the rope is finished, students will torch solder cones to the ends of the rope, creating a place to hold Swarovski crystals.

This class will provide an easy introduction to the world of metalsmithing.

This is just one of the many classes that Annmarie Garden offers. Annmarie Garden is committed to connecting people to nature and art. With many different engaging workshops and classes, the Studio School creates opportunities to be creative, collaborate with other creative people, and reflect on the processes used to create art.

AMG’s Studio School works to provide a welcoming, open atmosphere for all ages and abilities. Students are never denied on the basis of race, sex, or ethnic origin.

Many classes are created for specific age groups. Please adhere to the age groups and do not bring children to adult classes.

The Studio School at Annmarie is a self-sustaining program, so registration fees must cover all operational expenses.  The school has created policies to ensure its ongoing sustainability. The cost to attend the Twinkle Twist Bracelets class is $24 for members and $30 for non-members. There is an additional materials fee of $40 due to the instructor at the class for a complete kit of materials.
