Thanks to Walden & Director O’Brien for 40 Years

Walden Behavioral Health celebrated 40 years of services to a community who recognized the accomplishments of the agency, its staff, and its director, Kathleen O’Brien, who joined the agency at its start as a college intern.

Another member of the original team, Michael Whitson, likened Ms. O’Brien’s arrival and tenure to that of a “Tasmanian devil.”

Regardless, the success of the agency drew a night of accolades from a crowd attending the unique event, celebrating the 40th milestone with serenading pirates, a fortune teller and a caricaturist as well as creative eats from Olde Breton Inn hosted, as always, by former county commissioner W. Edward Bailey.
