St. Mary’s Govt. Easter Schedule
St. Mary’s County government administrative offices will be closed Friday, April 3, 2026, in observance of the Good Friday and Easter holidays. Offices will resume normal operating schedules on Monday, April 6.
The April 3 closure includes:
- Senior activity centers (Garvey, Loffler, and Northern), and there will be no home-delivered meals
- St. Mary’s Transit System, including ADA and SSTAP
- St. Mary’s Soil Conservation District
The following SMCG operations will be open April 3:
- St. Mary’s County Libraries (Charlotte Hall, Leonardtown, and Lexington Park)
- St. Mary’s Animal Adoption & Resource Center
- Convenience centers and the St. Andrew’s Landfill
- St. Clements Island Museum*, Piney Point Lighthouse Museum, and the Old Jail Museum
- Wicomico Shores Golf Course and the Riverview Restaurant
- Department of Recreation & Parks programs and facilities
Additionally, the following government operations will be CLOSED on Sunday, April 5:
- Department of Recreation & Parks programs and facilities (excluding museum locations, which are OPEN)
- St. Mary’s Animal Adoption & Resource Center
- Lexington Park Library
- Convenience centers and the St. Andrew’s Landfill
- St. Mary’s Transit System, including ADA and SSTAP
*Note: the St. Clement’s Island Museum is operating on a limited basis due to construction.
All St. Mary’s County Public Schools and Offices will be closed April 2 and 3. Schools and offices will reopen for staff and students for a regular school day Monday, April 6.
Health Department Closed for Good Friday Holiday
The St. Mary’s County Health Department be closed on Friday, April 3. This includes the main office in Leonardtown and all satellite offices. Normal operations will resume on April 6.
The health department also will be closed on Tuesday, April 7, from 10:30am to 3pm for employee activities. Services will reopen for community members at 3pm for the remaining business hours on this date.
