There’s Still a Chance to Get into Summer Camp
The St. Mary’s County Department of Recreation and Parks announce that registration continues for the 2012 Summer Camps as long as space remains available.
A variety of summer camps are being offered, from summer day camps, including Central TREK (Teaching, Reaching, Enriching Kids) Camp for 6-10 year olds, PTO (Pre-Teen Only) Camps for 11-12 year olds, PLAY (Positive Learning Atmosphere for Youth) Camps for 3 ½ – 5 year olds, New Horizons Camp for children with disabilities, Camp Inspire for children and young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and new Specialty Camps including Fit N Swim, Unordinary Science, Explore Our Parks, Theater, Storybook, Photography and JumpBunch. Summer day camps begin the week of June 18 and will run for one week sessions through August 10, 2012. Camp Inspire begins the week of July 9 and continues through August 2.
Summer sports camps include baseball, basketball, cheerleading, lacrosse, field hockey, tennis and soccer instructional camps.
New this year is the modified payment option for Camp TREK, PTO Camp, Play Camp and the following Specialty Camps – Fit N Swim, Unordinary Science, Explore Our Parks, Theater, Storybook, Photography and Trail Blazer Camps.
