Unmanned aerial systems are increasingly important to warfare world-wide and even terrorist groups are able to obtain and deploy them, reports C4ISR & Networks. Market research company, ASDReports, has compiled a photostory of the 20 UAS manufacturers it considers as having the greatest potential impact in coming years.

Army Major Kyle Petroskey didn’t graduate from the US Naval Test Pilot School with his classmates, according to NAVAIR News. Unfortunately, after completing the engineering test pilot course and just before the graduation ceremony in June 2012, he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Two years later during a break from treatment, friends, family and his entire class assembled at NAS Pax River to attend Major Petroskey’s special, belated graduation ceremony.

The Senate Appropriations Committee approved funding for two Lockheed Martin helicopter programs including $348 million for the Presidential Helicopter program and $100 million for the Combat Rescue Helicopter program, reports Business Journal News Network. The full US Senate will now consider the defense-spending measure.
